Recognized as one of the pioneering Folk Metal bands in South America, Skiltron began its career in 2004. Having released 3 studio albums so far, being the first one, "The Clans have United", the first album of the genre ever released in Argentina, followed by "Beheading the Liars" in 2008 and "The Highland Way" in 2010, which built on the band's unique style and sound.

The band have played many shows in Argentina and also did 2 brazilian tours, the fisrt one with Korpiklaani, and the second one as headliner. Featuring also shows played with bands like In Extremo, Grave Digger and Martin Walkyier (former vocalist of Skyclad and Sabbat).

Along these years, Skiltron has earned its recognition within a scene that is popular in Europe, but still considered a rarity in the rest of the World.
